Welcome to
The Carpet Sling™
.
.
One day at work, I was
asked to move a roll of carpet.
What I didn’t know?
Carpet rolls weigh over 450 pounds.
Thirty feet later
— after I had strained both forearms —
I had invented a new solution:

Every job can't use a forklift.

Why the Carpet Sling™?
When I messed up both forearms dragging a roll of carpet across the store, I figured:There has to be a better way.But the more I looked around,
the more I realized
most of the gear out there isn’t built
to accommodate tight spaces
— forklifts just don’t work in narrow aisles.Especially not if your load is
12 feet long or
12 feet wide.So I started designing
something safer and simpler,
made for real crews
in real situations.
The videos below break down what it is,
how it works, and why I built it.
Did you know carpet rolls weigh over 450 lbs?!
How much does a single back injury cost a company?
This tool pays for itself.
Can this be made from recycled conduit?

What's the REAL
cost of Carpet?
Moving carpet rolls isn’t just awkward
— it’s expensive.The average roll weighs over 450 lbs,
and there’s still no scalable, safe method
for handling them in narrow store aisles
or tight inventory spaces.Back injuries, downtime,
and lost productivity add up fast. The National Safety Council spells out that
the average strain-related injury claim
costs over $41,000.The Carpet Sling™?Manufacturing will likely cost
less than $120 per unit. It’s simple,
low-tech,
and built for
the real world
— the kind of tool that
prevents expensive problems
before they happen.
